What is this online spritesheet creator?
This tool is an easy-to-use image to spritesheet creator. It allows you to upload multiple images of the same size and arrange them in a grid format.

The spritesheet creator is designed to simplify the process of organizing and managing multiple images, making it ideal for game development and web design. By consolidating images into a single file, it helps optimize performance and reduces the number of image requests.
How do you convert multiple images to spritesheet?
You can choose how many images you want to display next to eachother by entering a number in the 'Images per row' field. If you have more images it will be put on a new row below. In case you want to split up into multiple textures, add the limit to number of rows.

After you've set up your grid, you can upload your images by clicking on the 'Files' button and selecting the images from your computer. Once you've selected your images from your device, click the 'Generate' button. The tool will then display your images in a grid format according to the settings you've chosen. If you have more images than can fit in one grid, the tool will automatically create additional grids to display all your images.
What is a spritesheet?
A spritesheet is a single image file that contains multiple smaller images, often used in game development and web design to optimize performance by reducing the number of image requests.

Spritesheets are useful in animations, where each small image (or sprite) is a frame of the animation. This technique minimizes memory usage and speeds up rendering times. Spritesheets can help reduce the overall file size of a project, making it more efficient to load and run.
They are also smaller because more colors are shared among a textures, which further optimizes the file size.
What is a downside of using a spritesheet?
One downside of using a spritesheet is that if you need to update or change a single sprite, you have to modify and re-export the entire spritesheet and this can be time consuming. Very large spritesheets can consume a significant amount of memory, which might be a concern for devices with limited resources.
