How to record your screen as images online?

  • Select the output directory:
    • Create empty directory on your device.
    • Select the directory
    • Allow the app to view and write files to it. This is needed to save the screenshots.
  • Choose a stream (screen or camera)
  • Set the screenshot interval and difference threshold
  • Start capturing

What browser permissions does this timelapse tool require?
This tool requires two main browser permissions.
  1. Second, it requires permission to write files to your computer, which is requested when you click 'Select Directory'. This uses the showDirectoryPicker API.
  2. First, it needs permission to access your screen or a specific application window, which is requested when you click 'Select Stream'. This uses the browser's getDisplayMedia API.
Both permissions are required for the tool to function. The browser asks this to ensure control and privacy.

Our advice is to use a new empty folder, so you can easily find the screenshots and itll make sure the tool has only permissions to that folder.
